VICTORIA TEA COSY
Needles: 3mm straight needles, though similar size needles should be fine too
Yarn: DK or worsted weight in two matching colours, though any weight yarn could be used – this is a stash buster project
Other materials needed: tapestry needle and a button
Pattern: yarn 1 is the darker pink yarn in the photo and yarn 2 is the light pink yarn, which was held double throughout
Cast on 20 stitches using yarn 1
Yarn 1: Rib 4 rows (knit 2, purl 2)
Yarn 2: Knit 2 rows
K1, kfb x 3, k until 4 stitches remain, kfb x 3, k1 (26 stitches)
Knit 1 row
Yarn 1: Knit 1 row
Rib 3 rows
Yarn 2: Knit 2 rows
K1, kfb x 3, k until 4 stitches remain, kfb x 3, k1 (32 stitches)
Knit 1 row
Yarn 1: Knit 1 row
Rib 3 rows
Yarn 2: Knit 2 rows
K1, k2tog x 3, k until 4 stitches remain, k2tog x 3, k1 (26 stitches)

Cast of in rib
Make two halves, and then sew them together using yarn 1. Leave room for the spout by sewing the two sides together below and above it, and leave room for the handle by only sewing the pieces together above the handle.
Using yarn 1, create a button-loop at the bottom of one side-piece, below the handle and on the first ribbed stripe. Sew on a button on the other side on the first ribbed stripe. The cosy is put onto the teapot by sliding it over the spout and then closing it using the button and button-loop below the handle.
Using yarn 2, create a twisted cord, which should fit in between the holes left by ribbing at the very top of the cosy, where 26 stitches became 13 stitches.
Reinforce the hole for the spout and handle using yarn 1.

TULPESH NETBOOK COVER
Needles: 3mm straight needles, though similar size needles should be fine too
Yarn: DK or worsted weight, though any weight yarn could be used – 1 skein (50g)
Other materials needed: tapestry needle, DPNs or circular needle and two buttons
Pattern:
Cast on 48 stitches or enough to make the cover as wide as your netbook (wide as in the short side)
Knit garter stitch until the piece is long enough to fit around the netbook length-wise (long as in the long side)
Sew up three edges, leaving one of the long sides open
Knit two i-cords using DPNs or a circular needle – roughly 10 cm long each
Sew on two matching buttons on the front and fasten the i-cords on the back
Cast on 24 stitches for a mouse-pocket and knit garter stitch until long enough
Sew on the pocket on two sides, or make it even longer and sew it on three sides

KJELLBJORN STRAIGHT-NEEDLE MITTENS
Needles: 3.75mm straight needles, though similar size needles should be fine too
Yarn: DK or worsted weight, though any weight yarn could be used
Other materials needed: tapestry needle
Pattern:
MITTENS
Cast on 24 stitches
Knit 2, purl 2 to create ribbing around the wrist (6 cm)
Garter stitch (knit every row) the mitten (10 cm)
Rib (2 cm)
Cast off in rib
Sew together to form a tube, leaving space for the thumbs
THUMBS
Cast on 3 stitches
Knit one row
Kfb x 2, k1 (5 stitches)
Knit one row
K1, kfb x 2, k2 (7 stitches)
Knit one row
K2, kfb x 2, k3 (9 stitches)
Knit 10 rows
Kfb x 2, k6, kfb (12 stitches)
Rib for 3 cm
Sew the ribbed bit into a tube for the thumb, and sew the rest into the hole made whilst sewing the mitten together
